I’m a writer, podcaster, and communications specialist, with a background in radio journalism and experience of production, copywriting, PR and digital comms. I’ve worked for two commercial radio stations, a production company, a global public transport corporation, and now an independent media company, as well as undertaking various freelance projects for a number of small businesses and arts organisations.
I garden at home in Dundee, Scotland where I’ve lived for more than 20 years. I was born and brought up in Northern Ireland and one of my earliest memories is of the tomatoes growing in my grandparents’ greenhouse and the cherry blossom in their garden.
I’m passionate about plants and gardening and enjoy writing and chatting about all things horticulture. My happy place is my back garden allotment, The Secret Garden, where I grow vegetables, fruit, flowers and herbaceous perennials. I also love taking photos of my garden, flowers and plants and usually have plenty of these to share on Instagram (@mycornerofearth).
When I’m not gardening, I’m spending time with my family or our little back garden flock of hens – Molly, Phoebe, Britney, Apollo, Pippin and Bean.
